It&#8217;s a game where that&#8217;s part of a genre that the player will <u>face problems, die, start over. <\/u><\/i><\/b><b><i><br \/><\/i><\/b><b><i><br \/><\/i><\/b><b><i>And so what we wanted is to make sure that the <\/i><\/b><b><i><u>player has zero frustration<\/u> when playing the game<\/i><\/b><b><i>.\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We also inquired about what made them realize that external help from a service like Antidote was needed for the playtesting process:<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><b><i>\u201cWell, <\/i><\/b><b><i>running external playtests<\/i><\/b><b><i> is always a <\/i><\/b><b><i><u>logistical pain for developers<\/u><\/i><\/b><b><i>.<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><b><i>We have to <\/i><\/b><b><i><u>find the right players<\/u><\/i><\/b><b><i>. We have to<\/i><\/b><b><i> <u>prepare a survey<\/u><\/i><\/b><b><i> for them and <\/i><\/b><b><i>p<u>repare questions<\/u><\/i><\/b><b><i> that we want to ask them. We have to <\/i><\/b><b><i><u>gather their feedback<\/u><\/i><\/b><b><i>. We have to <\/i><\/b><b><i><u>analyze all of it<\/u>.<\/i><\/b><b><i> We have to <\/i><\/b><b><i><u>prepare for a video capture<\/u><\/i><\/b><b><i> of their playtime.<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><b><i>And that&#8217;s something that<\/i><\/b><b><i> Antidote <u>helped us all do in one place<\/u><\/i><\/b><b><i>. What kind of genre are they used to play? So, we were able to <u>find our target audience<\/u> and <u>validate that our game resonated with that audience<\/u>.\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the playtest, we helped Metric Empire find the ideal participants from <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/antidote.gg\/your-playtesting-solution\/\"><b>our player community<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> who met the following requirements:<\/span><b><\/b><\/p><ul><li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Fans of FPS or Roguelike game genres\u00a0<\/b><\/li><\/ul><ul><li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Able to playtest the game for 4 hours over the 2-day period<\/b><\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once the participants were vetted and recruited, the Metric Empire team conducted a self-organized playtest using the Antidote platform.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, the studio opted for a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/antidote.gg\/antidote-services\/user-experience-reports\/\"><b>tailored UX report<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> constructed by our in-house user research team. <\/i><\/b><b><i>damage feedback<\/i><\/b><b><i> we had in place <u>did not provide sufficiently clear information to the player.<\/u>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><b><i>Notably, <u>the <\/u><\/i><\/b><b><i><u>feedback of getting hit<\/u><\/i><\/b><b><i>, both visual and audible, and the <\/i><\/b><b><i>ability to identify the source and
