href=\"https:\/\/antidote.gg\/antidote-services\/full-game-playthrough-testing\/\"><b>full playthrough<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the entire game to examine the overall user experience and the effectiveness of the game mechanics.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The primary challenge was<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/antidote.gg\/antidote-services\/player-recruitment-coordination\/\"><b>identifying the right player profiles<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to provide targeted and valuable feedback. <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, it was vital to ensure that the participants <strong>signed the required documentation<\/strong>, <strong>attended ideal participants from our active and diverse player community to achieve this.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The specific demographic requirements for both projects game\u2019s official release.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, Antidote\u2019s team was tasked to manage the logistical aspects of player recruitment, ensuring that participants attended the sessions and signed the necessary documentation.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-25b4dae for the <\/span><b>FTUE<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and another for the <\/span><b>full playthrough<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our in-house UX team constructed surveys incorporating the demographic requirements the Remedy team specified.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The main challenge centered on the specificity of participants&#8217; profiles (mentioned in the previous section), with each study having its own unique recruitment criteria.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For example, for the FTUE study, we needed to identify players who would fit <\/span><b>into two distinct groups<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first group consisted of 8 players who had previously played Alan Wake 1 and were familiar with the game\u2019s universe.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The second group consisted of 8 players who had never played Alan Wake 1 before and were fans of the survival horror genre.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8e46a71 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" playthrough.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The next step involved inviting our player community to complete the surveys, which resulted in hundreds of submissions.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following this, our team filtered through the submissions, selecting the most suitable participants that met the study requirements.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-46d1f95 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" server<\/b><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Monitoring the initial onboarding<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> process and <\/span><b>offering ongoing support<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Finding player backups<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in case of no-shows\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Distributing the rewards<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> after the playtests\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To maintain the security of the playtest, all participants were required to sign a custom NDA, which prevented them from revealing any content related to the game.
